School lists

Send us the list. We will get the books ready.

Every term starts with a list. Send it to us and we will tell you what we have on the shelves and what it costs, so you are not going from shop to shop.

How it works

  1. 1

    Send us the list

Type the titles into the form on this page, or send a photo of the printed list on WhatsApp.

  2. 2

    We check the shelves

We tell you which books we have, the price of each, and anything we need to order in.

  3. 3

    Collect or have it delivered

Pick the books up at the counter, or we deliver them with the rest of your order.

What to put in the list

The more of this we have, the fewer questions we need to ask before we can price it.

  • The school and classSo we know which list it is, for example P5 or S2.
  • Each title as printedOne book per line, spelt the way the list spells it.
  • Author or publisherMany school books share a title. The publisher tells them apart.
  • Edition or yearSchools often ask for a particular edition. Copy it from the list.
  • How many copiesIf you are buying for more than one child, say how many of each.
  • Books you already haveCross them off, so we only price what you need.

Sending a photo instead

  • Lay the list flat in good light and hold the phone straight above it.
  • Make sure every line is in the picture, including the edges.
  • If the list runs over two pages, send a photo of each.
  • Add the school, the class and your name in the message.

Questions about school lists

What if a book on the list is not in stock?

We tell you when we reply. Where we can order it in, we say so and give you the price, and you decide whether to wait for it or buy it elsewhere.

Can I send lists for more than one child?

Yes. Send one form per child, or put each child's school and class at the top of their part of the list. If the same book appears on two lists, tell us how many copies you need.

Do I have to buy every book on the list?

No. Tell us which books you already have, or pick from our reply the ones you want. We only pack what you confirm.

Can a school or teacher send a whole class list?

Yes. Send the list with the number of copies of each title, and we reply with what we have and the price of each book.

How do I pay?

Once you have agreed the books with us, you can pay on the website by card, MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money, or settle the order with us on WhatsApp.

Can I bring the list to the shop?

Yes. Bring it to Plot 4 Colville Street, Kampala, and a bookseller will go through it with you.
