The Way of the World

The Way of the World is William Congreve's celebrated Restoration comedy exploring courtship, social conventions, adultery, and the pursuit of fortune among the upper classes. First staged in 1700, this masterwork of English drama presents a sharp, satirical look at romance and societal intrigue through sparkling wit and complex plotting.
