Reckless Girls

Set in the remote reaches of the Pacific Ocean, Reckless Girls follows six young travellers seeking escape on Meroe Island. Wild, sun-drenched and completely isolated from the modern world, the island carries a dark history marked by shipwreck and sinister rumours, making it an enticing haven for adventurous spirits.

What begins as a carefree getaway quickly turns tense as the visitors realise how entirely cut off from civilization they truly are. As hidden secrets and suspicion surface among the companions, the paradise begins to feel like a trap. When one traveller disappears and another is found dead, survival becomes a desperate scramble to uncover who is responsible before the island claims another life.

Rachel Hawkins delivers a suspenseful and atmospheric psychological mystery exploring jealousy, isolation and danger. It is an engaging story for readers who enjoy gripping vacation-gone-wrong thrillers and modern murder mysteries.
