Kiswahili: Kitabu cha mwanafunzi (Kidato cha kwanza) is a secondary school coursebook prepared by Jackline Nasasira and Milton Rwabushaija, published by Longhorn Publishers under the Longhorn Sekondari series. Designed for Senior One learners beginning their secondary Kiswahili studies in Uganda, it provides core learning material for classroom work and independent revision.

The book is fully approved by the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES). Written to support the new competence-based lower secondary curriculum (kinazingatia umilisi kulingana na mtalaa mpya), it guides students through essential language skills and practical activities. It serves as an essential companion for Form One students, Kiswahili subject teachers, and parents supporting learning at home.
