Kidnapped

Kidnapped is R. L. Stevenson’s classic adventure set during the Scottish Highlands uprising of 1751. The story centres on David Balfour, a sixteen-year-old orphan who is betrayed and captured at the instruction of his deceitful uncle.

After surviving abduction at sea, David escapes and aligns himself with the daring Jacobite Alan Breck Stewart. Together, the two comrades must journey across rough and dangerous terrain while evading British soldiers and overcoming treacherous obstacles. Rich in suspense, bravery, and historical detail, this enduring novel remains a standard of classic adventure fiction for older children and adults alike.
